Charlotte Talks: Local Doctors On How To Fix The American Health Care System

Erin Keever

Tuesday, March 20, 2018

An examination of the less-than-excellent outcomes provided by America’s health care system, the cost of care and how we might improve the state of things.

For over a decade, America has been engaged in a conversation about health care. That 'conversation' has been more like an argument over how to lower the costs we pay individually, how to reduce the onerous burden that cost places on the economy as well as how to ensure more people get the medical care they need. And even that has been divisive. Some believe health care is a right. Others view it as a privilege.

What do doctors and health care providers think? Turns out they’re divided as well. Mike Collins sits down for a special conversation with local health care professionals to get some insight from inside the industry.

This conversation was recorded March 13, 2018 for the Learning Society at Queens University of Charlotte.
